LinkedIn 10 years on

Social media has come a long way in the last 10 years. When it first entered the legal world, it was seen as nothing more than a marketing gimmick. Lawyers were hesitant to use it, and those who did use it only did so to promote their services.

Now, social media is an integral part of many law firms' marketing strategies. It's a great way to connect with potential clients, build relationships and stay up-to-date with the latest industry news.

Looking ahead, it's exciting to think about what new social media platforms will emerge in the next 10 years. We may even see the rise of the metaverse - a digital world where we can interact with each other in a virtual reality setting.

LinkedIn - The social channel of choice when it comes to lawyers and law firms. What started out as a recruitment website back in Reid Hoffman's living room in 2002 to 830 million members in more than 200 countries.

Where do we see LinkedIn in the next 10 years, my prediction will be more insights into the people we connect with. Better analytical data to help us make more informed decisions around content. Interactive across multiple platforms and integrate more into our working lives.

For me, LinkedIn will always be my No.1 choice for engaging with my audience and building my network. I am excited to see what the next 10 years will bring and if anyone will rival this once dated platform that has become a global success among its rivals.
